On the 24th and 25th of October, the core partners of the EASE project got together in Nice to begin work on the 2-year project which is partly funded by the "Transfer of Innovation” programme and is part of the European Union’s Lifelong Learning Programme. Through this project, the partners will create two new viable social enterprises in England and France, based on empowerment and entrepreneurship. Read more...

Every 10th of October, World Mental Health day is commemorated with a campaign that raises worldwide awareness on the identification, treatment and prevention of emotional and/or behavioural disorders for that year. In 2013, the theme chosen by the WHO and the WFMH is mental health of older adults, a problem of immediate relevance since the number of older people is growing very quickly around the world, surpassing the number of children in some countries. In 1994, the World Health Organization and Alzheimer’s Disease International chose September 21st to commemorate the disease’s World Day, under this year’s theme ‘Dementia: a journey of caring'. The purpose of this day is to disseminate information about the disease, and call for support and solidarity from society, institutions and government agencies, as well as the recognition of organisations and associations working to combat the problematics of Alzheimer’s worldwide. This past August, Diagrama Foundation received the exciting news that its project application “Empowerment Approaches and Social Enterprise,” also known as EASE, has been approved.
