After several months of working with our network of organisations, they prepare for this new and exciting stage in their lives.
The project “Greener Futures for Young People” will be coming to an end in July of this year after a year of hard work and dedication. The partners from France, Sweden, Spain and the UK have been workings towards the aim of raising the profile of the not-for-profit sector as a career choice for able young people, as well as to exchange good practices.
As part of the project, the UK partners recruited young people from different backgrounds who dedicated their time to different organisations as Trainee Business Development Officers, which gave them the opportunity to have a taste for what it is like to work within the Third Sector. The young people also had the opportunity to be part of training sessions dedicated business development and social enterprising.
As their training comes to an end, our young people are carving their paths towards their future, which for some this means to continue with their education, while others have already found employment with the organisations with whom they dedicated their time as well as with other organisations.
To mark this milestone, an event will be held on Wednesday 20th of June at the Salomons Centre, where the partners will present the project’s results, and most importantly, the young people will be sharing their experiences and what they have learned so far.
