Diagrama adopters Jason and Eric help promote LGBT adoption campaign

Adopters have been helping out with Diagrama's new campaign aimed at encouraging people from the LGBT community to adopt and foster as part of the upcoming LGBT Adoption and Fostering week 2018 (March 5-11).

The campaign focuses around London adopters Jason and Eric, who adopted their six-year-old son in 2016. Jason and Eric have shared their experience and their journey to adoption through a blog post, published on Diagrama's adoption website www.diagramadoption.org.uk.

Jason says: “Eric and I always dreamed of having children but never really thought it was a possibility and that the closest we would get was being uncles or godparents. When we met each other we felt that we had so much to offer in terms of helping a child who may not have had the best start in life that adoption was the best way forward for us.”

Jason and Eric have also recorded an advertisement encouraging more people to consider adopting and fostering with Diagrama which will be aired on Gaydio radio station next week. They are also due to be interviewed on the Gaydio breakfast show. In the recording they share their thoughts on adopting with Diagrama and speak about how their son’s life was transformed by his dedicated foster carer.

Jason adds: “Like any family we have our up and downs but the rewards of parenthood are priceless. We feel blessed that we have such an incredible son with whom we share so much joy, love and laughter. He is the centre of our universe and we love being able to support and guide him as he grows and witness the progress he makes. He has made our lives complete.”

Jason and Eric’s full story is available here in their blog post 'Our journey to meet one amazing son'.

Diagrama Adoption welcomes enquiries from potential adopters across London and the south east. Our adoption team is holding introduction to adoption evenings in Chatham, Kent on Wednesday, March 7 and on Wednesday, March 21 in Croydon.
