Diagrama aims to improve public life saving skills and personal safety confidence with the launch of a new training service delivering fully-accredited first aid courses to individuals, charities and businesses.

United Safe Care, Diagrama’s training arm, is offering a wide range of first aid qualifications along with personal safety courses which can be held off site or at Diagrama’s training centre in Chatham, Kent.

Substantially-discounted introductory rates will be applied on bookings made before 01.09.18 and courses currently start from just £25 per student for courses including Emergency First Aid, Emergency Paediatric First Aid and training in Basic Life Saving/Use of a Defibrillator (normally £70). One-day personal safety courses start from £36 per student (normally £96 per person).

Training manager Shane Newcombe said: “This is a great opportunity not only for local businesses to upskill their staff in essential life-saving knowledge but also for individuals themselves to gain a qualification in a variety of first aid aspects. Some of the courses are suitable for learners as young as 14. This type of achievement always looks great on a CV and the knowledge gained could even save someone’s life one day.”

United Safe Care’s training instructors have more than 20 years’ experience delivering expert training – some have worked as medics for the Armed Forces and all have real life experience of the risk and challenges people may face one day.

David McGuire, Diagrama’s chief executive added: “As well as offering first aid, we are delighted to be offering the personal safety courses which will help people gain confidence in managing and controlling situations where their safety could be at risk, to prevent them from feeling vulnerable. They will have the chance to learn about a wide variety of subjects including body positioning and language, using your environment to help you, de-escalation techniques and self defence.”

United Safe Care is running a variety of open, public courses and can also arrange group courses at locations to suit you. On site courses will be held at Diagrama’s head office at Anchorage House in Chatham.
