Residents at Cabrini House in Orpington have completed an upcycling project to turn old filing cabinets into garden planters.

When the charity Diagrama, moved into a new office in Kent Space in Chatham, they had a few filing cabinets that were no longer required. The residents of Cabrini house in Orpington, the charity’s home for adults with learning disabilities, love crafting and have upcycled the old office furniture into bright garden planters.

The residents are delighted with their new colourful planters and would love some help to fill them with flowers and plants so they can make a real statement this summer in their garden.

Marina Rubio, Residential Manager, Cabrini House, said, “Our residents loved completing this recycling project, and the finished planters look amazing. If anyone can help us with a donation of compost and plants so that the residents can complete this project, we would be extremely grateful”

If you would like to donate some plants for the Cabrini House planters or hear more about a range of projects, please call 01689 891401 or email residential@diagrama.org
