The British Consul for the Comunitat Valenciana, Murcia and Albacete, Mr. Paul Rodwell, expressed his satisfaction with the work carried out with children and young people, and more specifically with those who come from the UK, in every centre and programme managed by the Foundation.
This past May, the official presentation of the British Consul, Paul Rodwell, took place at the Alicante Auditorium. The event was attended by the President of the County Council of Alicante, José Joaquín Ripoli, accompanied by María Asunción Prieto, European Residents Deputy. During this presentation Mr. Rodwell highlighted the “important cooperation between administrations in one of the most active consulates in the world” – a cooperation that benefits the work being done in Alicante, Valencia, Castellón, Murcia and Albacete.
Once the presentation was over, the Consul spoke to some of the attendees, amongst who were representatives of the Educational Teams from some of Fundación Diagrama’s centres and programmes in the Communitat Valenciana, to whom he congratulated for the great work the Foundation is doing with those who are socially excluded or at risk of becoming so. Furthermore, Mr. Rodwell mentioned several of the cases where British young people had been in several of the centres managed by the Foundation, and emphasised the great cooperation and coordination between the consulate and staff members during those times in order to support the young people with their development and socio-educational process.
