On the 17th, 18th and 19th of October, Action with Communities in Rural Kent and Diagrama Foundation welcomed its European partners to the launching event for the Project “Greener Futures for Young People” at its head office in East Brabourne, Kent. Part of the event included a visit to Elham Valley Vineyard and Garden Centre in the Kent Downs Area where they were given a tour of the Centre and had a chance to meet some of the people who work there.
The aim of the project is to raise the profile of the not-for-profit sector as a career choice for able young people, as well as to exchange good practices. The partners include Association de Sauvegarde et de Promotion de la Personne (ASPP) from France, Fundación Diagrama from Spain, Basta from Sweden, Action with Communities in Rural Kent and Diagrama Foundation from the UK. Also present at the event was a representative from the Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.
This was an opportunity to further discuss the project’s plans and objectives, as well as other possible cooperation opportunities. On the last day, each partner presented their organisation and its role in the project to local organisations from Rural Kent who share the partners’ objectives and who have an interest in bettering their communities.
