Diagrama Foundation visits Spain for the 2nd Partners' Meeting for the Project “Greener Futures for Young People”

27 Feb 2012

On the 8th, 9th and 10th of February, Diagrama Foundation had the opportunity to visit its sister organisation in Murcia, Spain, to participate in the second partners' meeting for the Project “Greener Futures for Young People”. Also visiting the city were its European Partners, which include Action with Communities in Rural Kent (UK), Association de Sauvegarde et de Promotion de la Personne (France), and of course, the hosts for the visit, Fundación Diagrama (Spain).

The trip included a visit to 3 different educational and integration centres managed by Fundación Diagrama, where the partners had the chance to ask questions and discuss experiences and ideas with the staff. On the second day of the visit, the partners gathered for a full day of meetings and discussions where they reviewed the project so far, ensured that all of their objectives were being met, and discussed the future activities for the project. Lastly, to bring the visit to a closure, Fundación Diagrama hosted a seminar in which the partners participated in, as well as various Spanish institutions and social organisations that work in the sector of youth employment and integration.

This trip was another great opportunity for Diagrama Foundation to share its knowledge and experience with other organisations, whilst learning about what is happening elsewhere in Europe. All in all, it was a successful and fruitful trip that has left Diagrama with a further understanding of the issues surrounding youth employment.
