Members of Diagrama Foundation’s adoption and fostering team are pictured taking part in a development session held at Ashburnham Place, Battle, recently.

The aim of the two-day programme was to help the team understand more about all aspects of both agencies and work together to share best practice and provide an outstanding service.

Author and university lecturer Tony Jeffs provided staff with an historical overview of childcare, while Jim Rose, Fostering Foundation director, examined what it meant to be human. Both provided invaluable input throughout the two days during team exercises.

The team was also fortunate enough to hear from Annie Crombie, CEO of the Consortium of Voluntary Adoption Agencies (CVAA), who shared her thoughts with the team on the current adoption landscape and what the future holds.

The sessions aim to support the team when identifying key areas for development within the service.
