Diagrama runs its first residential service for children in England

01 May 2012

Diagrama is delighted to announce the commencement of its first residential service for children in England.

From April 2012, Focus Residential Childcare Services became part of Diagrama's Care and Justice Division. Its Director, Malcolm Stevens, said "Diagrama is proud to be providing services for children in the UK as well as the rest of Europe".

Chief Executive of The Diagrama Foundation (UK), David McGuire, highlighted that "this is a tremendous beginning for us. Diagrama's intention is to provide a range of services for children, not just residential, and to introduce some innovative approaches based on our integration successes in Europe and elsewhere in the world".

Focus's former Director, Nick Taylor, is remaining with Diagrama with a view to expanding its services in the UK's social care and youth justice sectors. He said "I am delighted to have the opportunity to reflect international best practice initiatives. We can benefit from the experiences of our colleagues elsewhere in Europe. Their children have similar problems and similar needs, and expenditure on public services has similar constraints."
