Independent Social Work Assessor opportunities within Diagrama Adoption

07 Sep 2018
Diagrama Adoption is looking for highly skilled Independent Social Workers, with valid HCPC registration, to undertake PAR Assessments.

Our service covers London and the South East areas (from Southampton through to Kent) and we are currently recruiting within this area. Independent Social Workers will report to the manager / deputy manager of the service and undertake assessments in line with the updated Coram/BAAF Competency Framework. The expectation is for ISWs to work in collaboration with Diagrama to assess potential adopters through to the point of presenting to Diagrama’s Independent Joint Adoption and Fostering Panel.

Diagrama Foundation is a charity dedicated to supporting children, families and adults at risk of social exclusion. Our aim is to prevent people from becoming socially excluded and to reintegrate those that have by undertaking research into best practice and, based on this, developing programmes and centres to achieve this. We have a range of services in the UK including adoption and fostering, 16+ residential provision for young people and residential services for adults with learning disabilities and the elderly. Our parent organisation, Fundacion Diagrama is one of the largest charities in Spain.

Diagrama Adoption is an independent, voluntary adoption agency, rated GOOD by Ofsted. Our team is dedicated to finding loving families for children in need of adoption across London and the south east. Our agency is small enough to offer a personalised and friendly adoption experience while benefitting from the expertise and security that comes with being part of a larger, established charitable foundation.

We are fast establishing an impressive reputation as a progressive, caring and child-focused agency, providing excellent support for adopters and children alike. We put children at the heart of everything we do and every decision we make.

Diagrama Adoption focuses on finding new parents for harder to place children and was set up to ensure adopters who had been working with Cabrini Children’s Society received continued support when the society ceased operation in 2014.

The service has since evolved and we have been busy integrating our own principles and approach to adoption to ensure that those we work with receive the highest possible standard of care, support and preparation throughout this life-changing journey.

What we offer

We offer a friendly and professional place to work with great opportunities to use your skills and knowledge to make a real difference to the lives of the young people we work with. We offer a competitive fee and authorised travel expenses are reimbursed at the current HMRC published rates.
