Residents at Edensor, Diagrama Foundation's centre for elderly care, were treated to early Christmas celebrations at their annual party.

Residents enjoyed an array of festive entertainment at the Clacton-on-Sea home, with a family carol concert, followed by a professional entertainer performing traditional Christmas songs, helping to bring back holiday memories to all. A buffet dinner was laid on for everyone to enjoy and Father Christmas himself paid a surprise visit, delivering a gift  and some yuletide cheer to everyone. Residents will also enjoy a traditional dinner on Christmas Day.

Staff and residents at Edensor care home in Clacton-on-Sea have been celebrating the festive season under the care of its new owners, Diagrama Foundation.

Ownership of Edensor Care Centre in Orwell Road transferred to Diagrama Foundation earlier this month after being in administration for some time. The 50-bed property was previously owned by Elder Homes.

Diagrama Foundation already operates other residential homes in the UK including Cabrini House, which has three premises in Orpington for adults with learning disabilities and Western House and Marsh House semi-independent living services in Luton for 16 to 24-year-olds.

While this is the charity’s first elderly care home in the UK, Diagrama has been successfully operating elderly care homes in Spain for some time and is fully committed to offering the best possible care for residents.

Diagrama aims to provide a warm, friendly and fulfilling environment for residents to enjoy. All current members of staff plan to remain with Edensor and the high standards of care will be fully maintained by Alison Brown and her team throughout and beyond the transition period.
