Adopters have been helping out with Diagrama's new campaign aimed at encouraging people from the LGBT community to adopt and foster as part of the upcoming LGBT Adoption and Fostering week 2018 (March 5-11).
The campaign focuses around London adopters Jason and Eric, who adopted their six-year-old son in 2016. Jason and Eric have shared their experience and their journey to adoption through a blog post, published on Diagrama's adoption website www.diagramadoption.org.uk. Read more...

URGENT UPDATE - EVENT CANCELLED: In the interests of safety, given the persistent inclement weather, we have taken the decision to cancel our celebration of adoption and fostering, due to be held at Rochester Cathedral this Saturday, March 3.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has offered their support for this celebration, in particular the choir of Greenacre Academy Trust who have been rehearsing hard for the event.

Clacton care centre Edensor will be opening its doors for a monthly pamper day for the elderly after its Dignity Action Day event proved a resounding success.
A team of volunteers at the Orwell Road home have agreed to give up their spare time on a regular basis to use their skills to provide a host of free treatments for elderly residents and members of the public to enjoy.

Residents at Cabrini House, Diagrama’s home for adults with learning disabilities, have enjoyed a festive day trip to Winter Wonderland in London.
Support worker Vicky Booth said: “This year to celebrate the festive season we took the residents on a trip to Covent Garden and to Winter Wonderland, which gave them an opportunity to shop for Christmas presents for family and friends, and also experience the rides and stalls in Hyde Park.” Read more...

Members of the Lions Club of Clacton-on-Sea have treated residents at Edensor care centre to an afternoon concert of carols and Christmas songs to celebrate the festive season.
Friends and family were invited along to join in the event at Diagrama’s 50-bed care home for the elderly and enjoyed tea and mince pies with the residents. Read more...

Outstanding care practice at Diagrama's elderly care home in Essex has been recognised with a prestigious Prosper award.
The awards, run by Essex County Council, form part of the PROSPER programme, a ground-breaking initiative to test whether quality improvement methods could be implemented in the care home context.

Residents at Cabrini House, Diagrama’s home for adults with learning disabilities, have enjoyed the afternoon decorating the house ready for the Christmas celebrations.
The busy day full of decorating forms part of a regular programme for residents which are designed to provide stimulation and integration through a variety of activities.
Support worker Claire said: “Residents in Cabrini decided it was time to decorate the house ready for the festive season. Everyone helped and joined in and started to celebrate the joys of Christmas.” Read more...
