Edensor train, Diagrama
This week Edensor Care Centre, Diagrama’s home for elderly nursing and dementia care in Clacton-on-Sea, needed help to create a 1960’s train carriage, a TV and film set.  Lucky residents were thrilled when a builder stepped in to make seating for the carriage that wouldn’t look out of place in an Oscar winning blockbuster!   Read more...

On Friday 23 April, Diagrama helped launch the #YouCanAdopt national campaign to highlight the benefits of adopting family groups of children, to encourage people to consider brother and sister adoption. There are currently 2,030 children waiting to be adopted in England, of those approximately 890 (44%) are part of a family group. More than half of these groups (56%) wait more than 18 months for their new family. For many potential adopters, this is due to groups being slightly older and worries about financial affordability, physical space, and it being too challenging. Read more...

At the beginning of March Diagrama held a free online seminar for our staff, foster carers and adopters on building a culture of care, giving them a chance to learn about self-care, the importance of looking after yourself and others. The last 12 months have been challenging in more ways than one. Flipping fun on Pancake Day
We couldn’t let Pancake day go by without our Cabrini residents having a go at making pancakes themselves. Pancake Tuesday also known as Shrove Tuesday is celebrated the day before Lent starts on Ash Wednesday. It was the perfect day for our residents to experiment with the ingredients, get creative and messy! The residents made a stack of pancakes, some didn’t make the plate but the rest were just delicious! Read more...

Cabrini House dancing, lockdown activities
They say dancing is the best thing you can do for your body and mind, which is why our Cabrini residents recently enjoyed a good song and dance!
